Brighter Teeth
Category : Uncategorized
As a recent college graduate, I don’t have dental insurance at the moment so my clever plan to get a free check up and cleaning was to visit my freind Luis Lanzas, who works in the medical field and happens to have dental training. But I never thought it would happen like this…
See, when you go to the dentist, usually they have a big, bright light shining right in your face, right? Obviously that’s so they can see inside your mouth. I never thought of that since I’m not really going around looking inside people’s mouths very often. Anyway I went to talk to Señor Lanzas and he asked me about the solar lamp project. “Can you gift me a lantern to use to pull teeth?” Every time he says “pull teeth” (which in spanish is phrased ”sacar dientes” or “pull teeth out of”) he makes a ripping sound effect, braces one hand up in the air against an imaginary face and pulls back the other hand with an invisible pair of pliers. “Si, no problema,” is my answer. So taking into account some of the feedback we have been getting this week about the box design being uncomfortable and looking like a TNT box used in the Contra-Sandinista Conflict, I made Luis a new lamp made of PVC pipe and a broken flashlight reflector today. He is going to use it to pull teeth tommorow and later use it to check my teeth. I know what you’re thinking about getting my teeth pulled and the answer is no. They won’t use Flor de Caña as a pain reliever they use normal anesthetic. What do you think I’m crazy?
