Throughout 2006 and 2007 as a part of its awareness-building and fund raising efforts, Bright New Ideas participated in the 2007 International Mondialogo Engineering Award Competition sponsored by DaimlerChrysler and UNESCO. An engineering and business team composed of students and an adviser from the University of Minnesota partnered with an engineering team composed of students from the National Engineering University, Nicaragua worked together to achieve this prestigious award.
