Bright New Ideas has won $5000 USD in a local competition known as the Minnesota Cup Competition. The presentation was lead by entrepreneur and Bright New Ideas team member Vance Trendov who at the young age of 26 beat out over 50 other (much older) professionals from around the Minnesota Twin Cities Metropolitan area to win this money, which will go directly to support our programs to help the people in need in Nicaragua and around the world.

Bright New Ideas was announced as a finalist in the international Young Americas Business Trust Business Plan Competition being held in Lima, Peru on June 3rd & 4th, 2010. Bright New Ideas was selected among the top 32 teams of 1,200 entrants in this prestigious competition, and will be competing for a $3000 prize. Bright New Ideas has been selected as one of the top four finalists in the MN Cup Social Entrepreneurship Division. We will be presenting at the Engaged Philanthropy Conference, June 17, 2010. This represents a considerably achievement – Bright New Ideas beat out 52 other professionals in the Minnesota community to attain this status and has been given a preliminary award.
